The

Sales Specialist – Value Recovery Services (VRS)

is responsible for driving growth and profitability across the secondary market through strategic research, market conditioning, and pricing within an established governance framework. This role focuses on maximizing value from ITAD, Workplace, and Consumer electronics by setting competitive selling prices, developing reseller and broker networks, and executing effective sales transactions across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities include managing retail quoting, expanding the broker and reseller network, leading direct buy‑and‑sell activities, and implementing targeted product and market strategies to optimize asset recovery.

Extensive technical and market knowledge of Laptops, Desktops, Monitors and components is essential to succeed in this role. The Sales Specialist reports directly to the Global Director of ITAD and works cross‑functionally with operations, finance, and channel teams to deliver strong financial performance and support the company’s circular economy objectives.

Responsibilities / Duties

Prospect and qualify new customer leads, network, selling price points and commercial terms (within set framework).

Drive and negotiate broker sales and support Inbound team on inventory purchases.

Directly set Fair Market Value for End of Lease, Retail and Buybacks within set parameters, together with providing clear regional market data and dynamics to management.

Ensure customer requests are met or exceeded.

Address all customer requests for quality and competitiveness; provide pricing to win more channel business.

Develop, evaluate, and manage channel relationships to accomplish material value recovery and minimize cost for proper disposition of non‑valued commodity assets.

Provide resolution management by partnering with buyers.

Design, develop and implement commodity resale and disposition plans, including managing the transition of new and existing commodity types to strategic buyers and partners.

Provide leadership and direction to cross‑functional relationships with buyers and downstream partners, as well as with internal stakeholders from Production, Quality, Logistics, and Finance departments.

Develop solutions and reconfigure product, working with vendor capabilities to ensure achievement of desired profit margins.

Knowledge of regulatory and international shipping requirements.

Monitor industry technology and trends and keep the business aware of necessary movements in the industry relevant to production and sourcing/purchasing markets.

Collaborate with team members to reach assigned sales targets, achieving sales growth performance by expanding business volume with new logo generation and expansion of existing customers.

Education / Work Experience

Preferably Bachelor's degree.

Typically requires 4–7 years of experience managing moderately complex procurement contracts, vendor negotiations, and sourcing of goods and services within a similar industry setting.

3–4 years of managing and reselling commodities and assets into secondary markets.

Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities to influence others, lead work teams and provide guidance to staff.

Skills and ability to effectively manage complex internal and external supplier relationships requiring diplomacy, negotiation skills, and depth of specialized knowledge.

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels throughout the organization and external vendors, including strong customer service orientation, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to drive results.

Good working knowledge of a wide variety of PC computing and IT‑based technology and ability to perform complex pricing and market‑based pricing analysis. Must demonstrate advanced Excel analysis skills.

Lead by example, take active ownership and accountability, stimulate learning, and manage knowledge.
