Physical Therapy Assistant
Bartlett Regional Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Rehabilitation Services team! The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) shall provide selected physical therapy interventions only under the supervision and direction of a Physical Therapist. The PTA uses exercise and modalities in the treatment of pain and movement disorders to help restore normal movement and function in accordance with the physician's referral. Essential functions of the PTA position include but are not limited to: supporting Bartlett Regional Hospital's strong commitment to the highest standards of business and professional ethics; following professional standards of APTA; providing services in compliance with all state and federal laws governing the hospital's operations; consistently maintaining confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other information which might jeopardize the privacy of others; and working as a team member to meet patient and departmental needs. The Physical Therapy Assistant may be asked to be trained in other settings or skillsets including but not limited to: inpatient acute care, outpatient adult care, outpatient pediatrics, wound care, Home Health Care, and skilled nursing. Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an APTA approved School for Physical Therapy Assistants. One (1) year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience. Experience working with diverse populations including inpatient acute care, outpatient adult care, outpatient pediatrics, wound care, Home Health Care, and skilled nursing. Current State of Alaska Physical Therapy Assistant License. Valid driver's license, current auto liability insurance and reliable transportation is required if assigned to Home Care Services. Refer to Mandatory Education Policy and complete the required items within the given timeframe. Pay Rate:
Internal Hires: Pay rate will be determined based on applicable personnel rule or union contract terms. External Hires: This position starts at $31.75 per hour. Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based upon relevant experience. Practice Notice:
