Physical Therapy Assistant
St. Joseph's Medical Center, Stockton, California As an Assistant Physical Therapist, you will provide personalized rehabilitative care and empathetic support, working closely with patients to restore function and improve their quality of life. Every day you will expertly implement treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and meticulously document interventions to ensure comprehensive and effective care. To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding clinical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a patient, compassionate demeanor, contributing to overall patient recovery and well-being. Assures that the rights of the patient/family are respected and maintained. Allows for privacy and modesty in the provision of care. Identifies self by name and title to patient/family. Determines presence/type of Advanced Directive. Reports suspected cases of abuse/neglect, if identified. Understands role of, and how to access, the Bioethics Committee. REQUIRED: Graduate of a Physical Therapy Assistant Program. Physical Therapy Assistant Certification PTA required. Basic Life Support - CPR through American Heart Association. PREFERRED: Prior PT experience preferred Experience may be substituted for education providing the candidate has passed the State Licensure Exam for PTA's.
