full-time Healthcare and Sciences Director
in Camden County, NJ, who's up for a challenge and ready to thrive!
QUICK INFO Pay:
$125,000-$150,000 a year
Schedule: Our Client offers a hybrid schedule, with 3 days in the office and flexible scheduling.

HEALTHCARE AND SCIENCES DIRECTOR ROLE HIGHLIGHTS Each day looks different, but expect to:
Oversee management, mentoring, and overall team direction.
Direct and manage the overall technical standards and QA/QC procedures for the department.
Lead and supervise a team of direct reports and assigned engineers for each project.
Work in partnership with management staff to ensure the timely scheduling of project deadlines and allocation of manpower.
Create and draft bid proposals, contracts, cost estimates, and related documents.
Offer extensive engineering knowledge, guidance, and solutions for drawings, designs, specifications, and calculations.
Engage in proactive project management by regularly assessing project plans and timelines to guarantee that projects remain on schedule and within budget, modifying manpower and resources when necessary.
Develop and nurture strong client relationships, ensuring top‑notch responsiveness and communication.
Collaborate with other department directors to promote the smooth operation of the department.
Together with the VP and President, recruit (upon approval), train, and mentor the engineering team.
Conduct performance evaluations and address any performance‑related concerns.
Ensure precise project accounting by collaborating with the accounting team to adhere to all established protocols.
Manage the department's budget and revenue forecasts.
Assist in department marketing initiatives that pertain to your field of expertise.
What You Need to become our Healthcare and Sciences Director
Excellent "in‑person" communication skills
Eligible to work in the US without the need for sponsorship
Professional Engineer (PE) certification
15+ years of progressive engineering and managerial experience in the US
Experience in the management and multi‑disciplined team of MEP engineers and designers
Knowledge of multi‑disciplinary engineering, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection
Proficient with the detailed design for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical/IT systems within the healthcare and life sciences fields
Strong project management skills
Knowledgeable of local, state, and national code requirements, specifically NFPA and Joint Meeting, FGI, and AHJ
Experience in load analysis and energy modeling programs such as eQUEST, Trane Trace, ENERGY STAR, and/or Carrier HAP
Strong knowledge and utilization of AutoCAD and Revit experience.
Good time management, comfortable with frequent deadlines and transitions
Excellent financial management skills and business acumen
Excellent Microsoft Office abilities
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to plan and manage projects to achieve client demands and deadlines
Ability to direct and manage the activities of internal and external resources
Ability to manage and direct the workflow of others
Ability to prioritize as well as multitask
Ability to effectively train and mentor others
Able to work collaboratively within the company as well as with the client
Knowledge of the USGBC LEED Rating system and standards is a plus
