is seeking an experienced physician leader to serve as Program Director for our ACGME‑accredited Family Medicine Residency. Based at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center and the Gandy Family Medicine Center in Toledo, this full‑time academic position offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of family physicians within a mission‑driven health system committed to serving a diverse patient population.
Role Highlights
Full‑time academic leadership position with clinical practice responsibilities
Oversight and administration of the Family Medicine Residency Program
Direct mentorship and supervision of residents and faculty
Collaborative leadership to maintain ACGME accreditation
Outpatient and inpatient clinical responsibilities
Involvement in community engagement and health equity efforts
Core Responsibilities
Lead curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and program evaluation to ensure excellence in education and patient care
Maintain program accreditation and oversee continuous quality improvement
Coordinate faculty and resident evaluations and performance reviews
Participate in recruitment, selection, and onboarding of residents
Collaborate with institutional leaders on strategic and financial planning
Serve as liaison among faculty, residents, and hospital administration
Prepare and submit required documentation and reports for program compliance
Represent the program at institutional and GME committee meetings
Qualifications
Board certified in Family Medicine
Minimum of five years clinical experience
At least three years of experience in graduate medical education (teaching or administrative)
Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Ohio
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
