A rapidly growing private homebuilder in the Austin area is seeking a Director of Land Acquisition & Entitlements to lead land strategy and execution for new residential communities. This is a high-impact role for an experienced professional ready to drive growth and shape the future of the organization's land portfolio.
Key Responsibilities: Identify, evaluate, and acquire residential land opportunities. Oversee entitlements, permitting, and municipal approvals from start to finish. Conduct financial analysis, pro formas, and feasibility studies to support investment decisions. Collaborate with internal teams across planning, engineering, and construction to ensure successful project delivery. Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing land and entitlement team.
Qualifications: Extensive experience in land acquisition and entitlement in residential development or homebuilding. Strong knowledge of zoning, permitting, and regulatory processes in Texas. Proven success structuring and executing land deals. Excellent negotiation, leadership, and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, construction, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
