Position Overview: They are seeking a Junior Tax Underwrite r
to join their growing tax underwriting team. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated tax professional to transition out of a traditional advisory or accounting role and gain hands-on experience within the transactional risk insurance space. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of experience in public accounting or consulting, with a strong focus on M&A tax transactions. This role offers direct exposure to high-profile deals, interaction with clients and counsel, and a dynamic learning environment with long-term growth potential. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the underwriting of tax liability insurance policies related to M&A transactions. Review and analyze tax due diligence reports, legal documents, and transaction structures. Support the senior underwriting team in evaluating tax risks and crafting customized coverage solutions. Collaborate with brokers, tax advisors, and legal counsel throughout the underwriting process. Track industry developments and assist in maintaining underwriting best practices. Contribute to the development of internal tools, templates, and process improvements. Qualifications: 1–3 years of tax experience at a public accounting firm, law firm, or consulting firm, with a strong emphasis on M&A tax. JD preferred, but not required. Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident in presenting and interacting with clients. Curious, detail-oriented, and eager to learn the insurance underwriting process. Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a strong sense of accountability. Interest in transitioning from an advisory role into a fast-growing segment of the insurance industry. Why Join?
