Overview Cocktail Runner position at Live! Hospitality & Entertainment. The candidate provides professional beverage service, supports front-of-house and heart-of-house teams, and maintains cleanliness and efficiency across lounge areas and side stations.

Responsibilities

Maintain professional appearance standards as directed in the Live! Hospitality Employee Handbook.

Anticipate and accommodate all the needs of the guests.

Use proper service protocol – serving all drinks to the guest’s right, using the right hand.

Able to carry a tray and comprehensively describe all drinks, specialty cocktails, wine and beer.

Provide professional and exceptional service and ensure delivery of all beverages to the guests.

Maintain general cleanliness of assigned stations and entire venue.

Follow supervisor’s instructions, communicate with and support co-workers; be a team player.

Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage menus.

Serve all alcoholic beverages in accordance with state regulations and alcohol awareness training standards.

Follow company procedures when providing bottle service and proper cash/payment card procedures.

Comply with Department of Health and company sanitation standards.

Communicate guests’ needs to Front-of-House and Heart-of-House staff, managers and chefs.

Set up cocktail lounge/bar and side stations; perform opening/closing side-work as directed, including:

Ensure lounge furniture is clean and debris-free

Report breakage or damage to management

Attend daily pre-shift meetings and training sessions

Learn by listening, observe and assist team members; lead by example with a positive, professional attitude.

Demonstrate knowledge of Live! Hospitality, its partners and the estate.

Qualifications

At least 1 year of serving in a fast-paced food and beverage venue. Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, preparation methods and garnishes preferred.

Must meet state legal age requirements.

Must speak fluent English; other languages are a plus.

Courteous, pleasant, and good-natured demeanor.

Strong communication skills when interacting with guests, bartenders, wait staff, cooks and supervisors.

Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government.

May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Ability to perform duties requiring lifting up to 50 pounds and sustained standing/movement around the facility.
