Director of Nursing

to lead our clinical teams across our growing network of outpatient centers. The Director of Nursing (DON) provides strategic and operational leadership for the nursing and clinical services

across multiple Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) locations in New York City.

The DON ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care consistent with clinical best practices, regulatory standards, and the organization’s mission. This role is responsible for clinical operations, staff development, compliance, quality improvement, and coordination of nursing services to achieve efficiency and excellence across all sites. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Management Provide leadership, direction, and supervision for nursing and clinical teams across multiple ASC sites. Collaborate with physicians, administrators, and staff to promote a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork. Develop and implement standardized nursing policies, procedures, and best practices across all centers. Manage nursing staffing plans, scheduling, and workforce development to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency. Clinical & Operational Oversight Ensure clinical operations meet or exceed state, federal, and accrediting body standards (TJC). Oversee pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing functions to support optimal patient outcomes. Coordinate infection control, medication management, and patient safety initiatives. Monitor performance metrics (turnover times, on-time starts, patient satisfaction) and implement process improvements. Assist in the development of new ASC and ensure all guidelines and documentation is in place to obtain approvals to operate Regulatory & Compliance Maintain full compliance with all New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), CMS, and accrediting agency requirements. Lead survey readiness activities and respond to inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews. Ensure all documentation and recordkeeping meet legal and organizational standards. Quality & Risk Management Direct the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program across all centers. Identify, analyze, and mitigate risks related to clinical care, infection control, and patient safety. Utilize data-driven approaches to improve clinical outcomes and operational efficiency. Education & Staff Development Develop orientation, competency, and continuing education programs for nursing and clinical staff. Mentor and coach nurse managers and staff to foster professional growth and leadership development. Promote an environment of continuous learning and adherence to evidence-based practice. Education & Licensure: Current

Registered Nurse (RN) license

in the State of New York, in good standing. Experience: Minimum of

5–7 years of progressive nursing leadership

experience, including at least

3 years in an Ambulatory Surgery Center Demonstrated success managing

multi-site or multi-department operations

preferred. In-depth knowledge of

NYSDOH Article 28 regulations , CMS Conditions for Coverage, and TJC accreditation standards. Skills & Attributes: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
