Responsible for timely and accurate registration of all ER, Inpatient and all outpatient services. Obtains a copy of the patients’ insurance card and explains the registration process and consent forms to patient at time of registration. Obtains signatures for Business Office & Medical Records. Responsible for collecting any payments due towards estimated amounts for any co-pays/deductibles and self-pay patients. Responsible for business office calls regarding payments & questions. Required to perform other duties as assigned by the Admission Director. Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent Preferred. Minimum one year basic clerical experience is preferred. High school student with no diploma will require to be the of age 18yrs must abide with all required laws and regulations and obtain approval with human resources. Ability to perform in a high stress area. Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff; bilingual preferred. Ability to type 40 wpm and prior work experience on computers required. Basic collection skills needed and insurance knowledge is a plus.
Must be able to fill in ER shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays when needed. Employment type
