Job Details
What You Will Be Doing
Counsel students and families one-on-one about financial aid options and eligibility Guide students through forms like FAFSA, MPN, and institutional documents Evaluate financial aid applications and determine award eligibility Package aid (grants, loans, scholarships, work-study) in compliance with regulations Educate students on budgeting, financial literacy, and loan repayment Conduct entrance and exit loan interviews per federal guidelines Collaborate with other departments and support financial aid workshops and outreach
Skills You Need
At least 1 year of financial aid or customer service experience (required) Strong knowledge of federal and state aid regulations (preferred) Proficiency with financial aid systems and Microsoft Office Ability to build rapport, explain complex info clearly, and manage sensitive data
