for experienced
Inpatient and Outpatient Coding Quality Review Educators . This is a fully remote position with limited candidate eligibility (OK, KS, MO, TX, AR). We are seeking professionals with strong inpatient and/or outpatient coding expertise, audit and training experience, and the ability to support coding quality in a trauma/academic medical center environment.
Base pay range
$44.00/hr - $46.80/hr

Location & Schedule
Location: Fully Remote (limited to OK, KS, MO, TX, AR) Schedule: Independent production; flexible schedule between 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM CST Employment Type: Contract (26 weeks) Pay Range: $40 - $46.8/hr Start Date: 9/8/2025
Key Responsibilities
Conduct coding quality reviews for inpatient and/or outpatient records with focus on trauma and high-acuity cases. Audit and monitor coding practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with guidelines. Provide training, education, and feedback to coding staff to improve quality and consistency. Support ongoing monitoring and quality assurance initiatives in line with OU Health standards. Utilize expertise in same day surgery and CPT procedure coding.
Required Experience
Minimum
5 years of facility coding experience , including inpatient/outpatient, trauma, same day surgery, and CPT procedure coding. At least
3 years of auditing, monitoring, and/or training experience
in coding quality. Strong background with Academic Medical Centers and Trauma Centers preferred. Must successfully complete pre-employment
Inpatient Coding and Auditing assessments
prior to interview.
Licensure & Certifications
RHIA RHIT CCS CPC Agency to supply: Computer with Windows 11, dual monitors, and webcam. Candidate to provide: Stable, high-speed internet capable of supporting multiple applications simultaneously.
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
