The U.S. Secret Service is seeking a Special Agent with a $40,000 recruitment incentive. The base pay range is $48,371.00/yr - $117,034.00/yr. As a Special Agent, duties include: Providing protection for various protectees. Conducting criminal investigations pertaining to financial obligations of the United States. Planning and implementing security designs for National Special Security Events. Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must: Be a U.S. citizen. Possess a current valid driver's license. Carry and use a firearm, and maintain firearm proficiency. Be at least age 21 and less than age 37, unless previous service in a Federal Civilian Law Enforcement position applies. Obtain a Top Secret Clearance and retain it during their career. Meet specific visual and hearing requirements. Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing while occupying the position. Complete intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center. Sign a mobility agreement stating willingness to accept assignments anywhere within the United States and overseas. Certify registration with the Selective Service System, if applicable.
