The role involves courageous, intelligent, strong, and determined individuals who can balance investigative mission and protective legacy. Base pay range is $48,371.00/yr - $117,034.00/yr. A recruitment incentive of $40,000 may be eligible in accordance with regulatory requirements. Duties: Special agents carry out assignments in investigations and protection, and may be assigned to multiple duty stations. Duties include: Providing protection for various protectees. Conducting criminal investigations. Planning and implementing security designs for National Special Security Events. Requirements: U.S. citizenship is required. Possess a current valid driver's license. Carry and use a firearm, and maintain firearm proficiency. Be at least age 21 and less than age 37 at the time of application. Obtain a Top Secret Clearance and retain it during your career. Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular. Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear. Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing. Complete 13 weeks of intensive training and 18 weeks of specialized training. Sign a mobility agreement stating willingness to accept assignments anywhere. Certify registration with the Selective Service System or exemption.
