What You'll Do
Associate Underwriter - Commercial Lines Location: Iowa | Hybrid | Full-Time My client , a well-established property & casualty insurer serving specialized industries, is seeking a detail-oriented Underwriting Associate to join their commercial lines team. This role supports policy processing and rating functions across new business, renewals, and endorsements.
What You'll Do
Process and review commercial insurance transactions using internal systems. Ensure accuracy of policy data and rating inputs. Collaborate with underwriting staff to resolve application and coverage issues. Calculate premiums for endorsements, cancellations, and payment plans. Maintain working knowledge of ISO, NCCI, and other regulatory manuals.
What We're Looking For
Prior experience in commercial P&C insurance operations preferred, or a related educational background. Familiarity with rating systems and insurance documentation. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and customer service abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ISO/NCCI tools a plus.
