How does this role contribute to our collective success? As a senior pricing analyst for the AXIS Global Cyber insurance team, this individual will support the Cyber book, with a focus on Cyber Insurance in North America. They will proactively engage with the broader Cyber Pricing team, Underwriting, and Data & Analytics colleagues to monitor the Global Cyber portfolio and implement new pricing initiatives.
What will you do in this role? Manage junior team members for monthly and quarterly reporting processes, including renewal rate monitoring
Work closely with underwriters and wider pricing team to scope, build, develop, document and maintain rating models
Lead portfolio monitoring analyses, work closely with underwriters to identify issues, discuss opportunities, assist in the development of action plans and monitor the impact on the book of business
Support selection of loss ratios in the financial plan, with consideration of business strategies, market conditions, mix of business, loss trend, loss costs and reinsurance structures
Assist the Cyber Pricing team in establishing and maintaining tracking and monitoring processes to identify and communicate key insight emergence
Be the main point of contact for the US Underwriting team with AdHoc requests including (but not limited to) account pricing, rating model support, KPI summaries, etc
Lead initiatives to streamline and automate reporting, including quarterly loss ratio analyses, monthly rate adequacy metrics, KPI dashboards
About You

What you need to have At least 3 years’ experience in a pricing actuarial role, specialty commercial background highly desired
Excel expertise
Ability to manipulate complex datasets using tools such as VBA, SQL, R, or Python
Strong interpersonal and time management skills. The ability to build relationships with underwriters, actuaries and other colleagues
Growth mind-set with a desire to seek diverse thought, learn from others and share knowledge
What we prefer you to have Experience building pricing models
Experience leading projects
3 or more exams (CAS or other relevant actuarial society)
Experience with Cyber as a line of business
Role Factors Occasional travel for business
Attend the office at least 3 days per week
What we offer
For this position, we currently expect to offer a base salary in the range of $160,000 - $180,000 (NY). Your salary offer will be based on an assessment of a variety of factors including your specific experience and work location. In addition, you will be offered a competitive target incentive compensation, with awards based on overall corporate performance and your individual performance.
