As a Survey Crew Chief,you will be responsible for overseeing field survey activities, managing field crew operations,and ensuring project deliverables meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate with Project Manager regarding assignment, including scope, schedule, and budget details. Participate in kick-off meeting. Communicate with Survey Field Technician regarding assignment. Adjust and operate surveying instruments, such as total stations, static scanners, and GPS equipment Perform differential level circuits with level rods from benchmarks to establish project elevations. Record survey measurements and descriptive data, using notes, drawings, sketches, and inked tracings. Conduct surveys to ascertain the locations of natural features and human-made structures on the earth's surface, underground, andunderwater - using electronic distance-measuring equipment and other surveying instruments. Search for section corners, property monuments, and other evidence of occupation. Set and recover stakes, marks, and other monumentation. Establish horizontal and vertical control. Maintain company equipment and vehicles. Perform manual labor, such as cutting brush for lines, carrying heavy items like stakes and rebar,and other equipment needed to perform work. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree or higher and/or Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) a plus. Valid driver's license. Ability to understand and adhere to S&F Standards and Procedures. Experience communicating effectively with others. Knowledge of how to use network drives, email, and management systems as dictated by project requirements. Possess proficiency in units of measure, coordinate systems and translations to proper coordinate datums and basis of bearings. Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk,use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The employee will be frequently required tostand, talk, or hear. There is also frequent sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping,kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
