An outstanding, full-time opening has become available in the Louisville, KY area for an individual with 10+ years’ experience as a Purchasing Director with a background in the Commercial Construction industry. This position would earn a generous six-figure base salary and a loaded benefits package including medical benefits, a 401K w/ matching, Short/Long Term Disability, Life insurance, PTO and other outstanding perks.
Some key responsibilities include:
Negotiate/evaluate vendor/supplier relationships to optimize terms and costs.
Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking to assess/mitigate potential supplier and vendor risk.
Manage 5-10 direct reports across departments.
Evaluate procedures and systems including auditing compliance and developing KPI metrics/tracking, and reporting.
All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration:

Experience managing the supply chain/purchasing activities for multiple projects/locations/divisions in the US is a MUST.
Previous experience developing, implementing, monitoring, and auditing supply chain strategies that optimize the efficiency of supply operations is a MUST.
Experience evaluating procedures and systems including auditing compliance and developing KPI metrics/tracking, and reporting is a MUST.
Forecasting pricing and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power is a MUST.
Experience managing 5-10 direct reports consisting of support staff: Buyers, Purchasing Coordinators, etc. is a MUST.
Experience with MS Excel including V-Lookup and PIVOT tables is a MUST.
Viewpoint or related software is a PLUS.
Bachelor’s Degree is a MUST.
