Clery Compliance Specialist — Posting Number A00914. Department: 50061-Title IX Compliance. Reports to the Associate Vice President of the Office of Title IX & Equal Opportunity Compliance Initiatives (OTIXEO) or designee. Expected pay scale: Minimum $80,000.00 annually; Maximum $84,000.00 annually. Posting Date: 10/06/2025. Closing Date: 10/6/2026. Responsibilities
Serve as the campus official responsible for compliance with the Federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy, Campus Crime Statistics Act, and Stop Campus Hazing Act. Serve as the Case Manager for the University’s Threat Assessment Team and CARE/CARES teams. Collaborate with the campus Security Department and other campus offices; act as the expert resource for all laws and regulations as outlined in the Federal Clery Act, and for the processing, retention, release, and disposition of Security and Clery records. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community in California and Oregon. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Knowledge of current and emerging legislation, issues, and trends related to the position. Advanced analytical, evaluative, and objective critical thinking skills; ability to summarize and present information. Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional policies and practices specific to the employment and/or academic environment. Project planning skills; ability to gather data, compile information and prepare accurate reports. Ability to use independent judgment and manage and impart confidential information. Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops. Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures. Ability to provide technical advice and information to faculty and staff in the area of expertise. Ability to develop and implement new strategies and procedures; provide effective advice to all levels within the University community. Skill in using personal computers and related software applications; ability to organize resources and establish priorities. Experience with crime prevention programs, procedures and practices, and safety training administration. Knowledge of federal and state public safety reporting requirements and other applicable crime data reporting. Commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes Humanism. Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Emergency Management or related field. Experience:
Minimum of three years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Master’s degree or J.D. Experience:
Three to five years of experience complying with the requirements of the Clery Act. Familiarity with Title IX and Federal and State Hazing regulations. Experience working at an institution of higher education and/or in a compliance role.
