Position Overview
The Quantity Takeoff Technician / Estimator will be responsible for performing precise digital takeoffs using tools such as Bluebeam or eTakeoff. You’ll ensure that takeoffs align with PDCA Cost and Estimating Guide standards, accounting for everything from painting and wall coverings to fireproofing and lead abatement. You’ll also collaborate with estimators on budgets, project bids, and closeout processes. Key Responsibilities
Download and review digital drawings, specifications, and project plans. Perform accurate takeoffs for painting, wall coverings, coatings, and related trades using Bluebeam or eTakeoff. Ensure compliance with PDCA standards for estimating. Use HubSpot for CRM tasks and managing customer interactions. Track budgets and estimates through Sage 100 Contractor. Collaborate with the team on submittals, change orders, and project closeout. Explore opportunities to integrate AI tools (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) to improve estimating processes. Must-Have Qualifications
2–4 years of experience in construction estimating or takeoff roles. Proficient with Bluebeam or eTakeoff. Understanding of construction drawings, including floor plans and sections. Competency with Excel and CRM tools like HubSpot. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Nice-to-Have Qualifications
A desire to grow into a fully independent estimator through mentorship and training. Schedule
Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. $24.00–$26.00 per hour, based on experience. Bonus potential based on successful project outcomes and individual performance.
