Director, Product Management - Developer Relations (Advocacy and Engagement Programs)

We are looking for a Director to join Qualcomms Developer Relations team where the person will be responsible for building strategy and driving crossfunctional execution for our DevRel plans with focus on AI. You will drive initiatives to better understand developer needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and align our developer products with realworld use cases. This role combines industry and developer research, strategic planning, product management, and partner outreach, creating a direct impact on Qualcomms perception among developers, partners and customers.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead our developer relations strategy around scaling advocacy and engagement programs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, industry influencers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify new and innovative ways to connect with developers and drive engagement.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to create and execute impactful developer programs and initiatives.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in developer relations, and use this knowledge to continuously improve our strategy and tactics.
  • Work closely with BU product and engineering teams to ensure developer feedback is incorporated into product development and updates.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners and thirdparty organizations to expand the companys developer community.
  • Participate in crossfunctional conversations around the development of a developerfocussed product portfolio that meets customer needs and aligns with product roadmaps.
  • Drive communication plans and communicate appropriately with internal stakeholders, external partners, and senior management to build relationships, ensure alignment and buyin, and achieve DevRel program & product goals, including managing planned changes.
  • Drive effective crossfunctional collaboration by ensuring that Engineering and other internal partners (e.g., program management) meet developer expectations, promised deadlines, and align with the overall roadmap for product portfolio(s).

Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years of Developer Relations or Product Management/Engineering for Developer products.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Product Management working on Developer Products, Developer Relations or related work experience.
  • 4+ years of working in a large matrixed organization.
  • Strong strategic thinking with a proven track record of influencing product roadmaps based on research findings.
  • Partner outreach experience with a background in community engagement, developer advocacy, or partnership management.
  • Familiarity with Qualcomms developer tools, APIs, and technical ecosystems.
  • Strong analytical skills, comfortable with financial modeling, market sizing, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilitiesable to translate technical details into clear business impact.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
  • 8+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Pay Range And Other Compensation & Benefits

$196,000.00 - $294,000.00
