Full-Time Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Building Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for a local tilt-up warehouse construction project in Lakeland, Florida. The Superintendent will be responsible for site safety, schedule coordination, quality control, and subcontractor management from mobilization through project completion. This role requires a hands-on assertive leader who can effectively manage subcontractors, communicate clearly with project management, and maintain a safe, organized jobsite. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily on-site construction activities Coordinate and manage subcontractors and field labor Ensure work is performed in accordance with plans, specifications, and schedules Enforce jobsite safety policies and OSHA requirements Maintain daily logs, schedules, and site documentation Coordinate inspections and ensure timely corrections of deficiencies Monitor quality control and workmanship throughout all phases of construction Maintain jobsite cleanliness and organization Communicate regularly with Project Manager, inspectors, and design professionals Participate in project meetings and scheduling updates Qualifications Minimum
5+ years
experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects Tilt-up concrete and warehouse project experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Knowledge of OSHA safety standards Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills xsgimln Proficient with basic technology (email, scheduling apps, daily reports) Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Preferred Experience Local Central Florida project experience Experience coordinating large subcontractor scopes (concrete, steel, MEP, etc.) Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Employee Medical Ins and Life Ins 100% Paid Dental and Vision Insurance 3% IRA Match Holidays and PTO Supportive team environment
