Primary Purpose
Position is responsible for leading In?Stock Managers across multiple locations in the effective purchase and use of inventory to support our Great Local Brands. The role also has direct responsibility for setting targets and managing inventory Days of Supply (DOS) objectives for non?perishable warehoused products for assigned warehouse facilities. The incumbent will manage teams overseeing more than $2?billion annually of purchase orders and $250?million in warehouse inventory, lead inbound logistics operations, unsaleables management, vendor inbound compliance (VIC), department insights/analytics, and day?to?day private?brands service management for both retail and DC in partnership with the brands. The role will interface with senior level CPG supply?chain partners exceeding 2?000 suppliers, AD USA Supply Chain operations and chief merchants for all the ADUSA brands.
Responsibilities
- Set the strategy for the Forecasting and Replenishment solutions for all ADUSA for their assigned categories and distribution centers.
- Provide leadership and direction for managers to achieve goals for Vendor Fill Rate (VFR) and on?time (OTIF), DC?to?store Service Level (SL), On?Shelf Availability (OSA), operational service level, forecast accuracy & bias, DOS, and unsaleable loss.
- Recruit, mentor, direct, motivate and develop In?Stock Managers while maximizing their individual contribution and professional growth.
- Drive In?Stock results through building a diverse, collaborative team and establishing a culture of continuous improvement, change?acceptance, and innovation.
- Determine the assignment of category and vendor ownership to In?Stock Managers for balancing workloads and enabling effective collaboration with control tower, brands, distribution and transportation.
- Work with procurement, logistics, vendors, brands and sales teams to ensure OSA at best net cost and meet inventory turnover and working?capital targets.
- Conduct periodic supply?chain reviews with managers on key suppliers to maintain or improve performance across ADUSA.
- Partner with chief merchants for Joint Business Planning with key suppliers.
- Recommend and drive strategies that hold vendors accountable for failure to meet expectations.
- Stay informed on category trends and supplier issues that impact brand sales; anticipate and act on seasonal changes, natural disasters, crop conditions or manufacturing issues to protect sales and OSA goals.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external leaders.
- Ensure timely communication of inventory transactions, issue resolution and out?of?stock responses via phone, email or online.
- Communicate major supplier issues to AD USA leadership and brands as needed.
- Support procurement in finding solutions to day?to?day issues and make decisions on larger issues.
- Lead strategic initiatives to improve on?time arrivals, reduce cost, improve inventory position, compliance and other departmental goals.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications Knowledge
- Solid understanding of supply?chain networks and future needs for replenishment of non?perishable departments across ADUSA.
- Advanced knowledge of company, business and industry practices.
- Knowledgeable of the suppliers business and the overall supply market.
- Strong working knowledge of inventory planning, forecasting techniques and warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills to executive?level management, both written and verbal.
- Highly self?motivated, goal?oriented and able to work under pressure.
- Strong people leader demonstrating behaviors across the leading teams level of My Leadership Journey.

Education
- Bachelor of Science in business, mathematics, statistics or related field *or* 10?years of experience in procurement, supply chain or related area.
- Masters degree in supply?chain management/business (or equivalent) preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, value?stream design, logistics and optimization techniques.
- 3+ years experience in leadership roles.
- Store operations experience preferred.
- Proven experience leading, motivating and building cross?functional teams.
- External partner and vendor management experience.
Salary
ME/NC/PA: $139,120 $208,680
MA/MD/NY: $160,000 $240,000
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on unique qualifications and experience, internal equity and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

Work Arrangement
Hybrid: 3 in?person days at one of our core locations (Salisbury, NC; Quincy, MA; Carlisle, PA; Scarborough, ME; Hyattsville, MD) and 2 remote days. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full?time basis.
