At Altais, we support one another, adapt quickly, and work with integrity as we build a better experience for physicians and their patients.This role provides comprehensive clinical primary care as a Physician, delivering first contact and continuing care for patients with any undiagnosed sign, symptom, or health concern, regardless of origin or diagnosis. In addition to direct patient care, this position includes responsibilities as a Medical Director, providing clinical oversight, fostering provider relations, and driving quality improvement initiatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient healthcare services. The role balances direct patient care with administrative and strategic leadership duties, including the development and implementation of clinical protocols, quality improvement, utilization management, and regulatory compliance.This role is a hybrid opportunity as a Regional Medical Director and Physician carrying a patient panel.**You Will Focus On:*** Deliver direct and indirect patient care, including health promotion, disease prevention, health maintenance, counseling, patient education, annual health assessments, and chronic care management.* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, ancillary personnel, and community resources to proactively resolve patient needs and coordinate care.* Leverage the Electronic Health Record (EHR) to manage and improve patient care, workflows, and clinical compliance.* Provide patient advocacy to accomplish cost-effective care and promote effective communication, encouraging patients as partners in their healthcare.* Develop and implement clinical protocols, guidelines, and standards to ensure quality and efficiency in healthcare services.* Lead quality improvement initiatives, oversee evidence-based practices, and monitor clinical performance metrics and outcomes.* Oversee utilization management activities, review and approve medical necessity for treatments, and facilitate clinical rounds with case managers.* Foster strong relationships with network physicians and healthcare providers, serving as a mentor and advisor to ensure adherence to best practices and compliance.* Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and educational activities for providers.* Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and manage audits and accreditation processes.* Contribute to strategic planning, network growth, and expansion of services in alignment with organizational objectives.**The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring*** California MD/DO License* MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school; board certification in a medical specialty.* Minimum of 12 years of experience as a practicing physician in inpatient and outpatient settings within a managed care environment.* Minimum of 3 years of clinical leadership experience.**Base Salary**$300,000 - $325,000/yr**You Share Our Mission & Values:****Compassion**We act with empathy and a deep respect for the challenges faced by physicians and their patients. Final determination of a successful candidate’s starting pay will vary based on several factors, including, but not limited to education and experience within the job or the industry. The pay scale listed for this position is generally for candidates that meet the specified qualifications and requirements listed on this job description. Additional pay may be determined for those candidates that exceed these specified qualifications and requirements. We provide a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs.*The anticipated pay range for this role is listed in our salary posting for transparency but may vary based on factors including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
