Job Overview - SVP Head of Global Taxation:
Join our team as the SVP Head of Global Taxation in New York City, where you will lead and build out the Tax Function. This hybrid role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience in Big 4 public/private sectors, a CPA, and the ability to grow and manage a team.
Location: New York, NY
Compensation: $375,000-$400,000/year + equity
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Responsibilities as the SVP Head of Global Taxation:

Responsibilities as the SVP Head of Global Taxation:
- Manage all planning and compliance for corporate income taxes, indirect taxation, and GAAP tax provisions.
- Lead the Global Tax function and manage internal and external tax-related relationships.
- Develop and implement global tax planning strategies and ensure tax compliance and audits.
- Strategically review the company’s international tax structure and transfer pricing policies.
- Build and develop a team of tax professionals, providing performance feedback and creating opportunities.
- Drive the transformation of the tax function, focusing on people development, process improvement, and technology implementation.
- Maintain ownership of tax internal controls and ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley.
- Participate in annual audits and quarterly reviews with external auditors and executive management.
- Foster continuous improvement in tax processes and stay updated on emerging tax issues.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive corporate tax experience, preferably in Tech/e-commerce/SaaS industries.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a complex, SEC registrant company or with SEC registrant clients in a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. Federal Taxation.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Tax, Accounting, or Finance.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex tax matters to non-tax business leaders.
- Strong skills in identifying and implementing process improvements and using tax technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
