Director Business Development – Pharma

As part of our continued global expansion, we are seeking an experienced Director Business Development – Pharma to lead and grow our international business development team, with a strong focus on Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Toxicology, and Medical Information services .
Your Role
As Director Business Development – Pharma , you will:
- Lead, mentor, and expand a growing team of business development professionals, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture.
- Define and implement the global commercial strategy for our Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Toxicology, and Medical Information services.
- Drive strategic partnerships with biotech, mid-size and large pharmaceutical companies, leveraging your international network to expand QbD’s footprint.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, translating complex scientific and regulatory challenges into tailored service solutions.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities , shaping multi-year growth plans aligned with QbD’s strategic vision.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with regulatory, vigilance, and medical experts to design integrated service offerings.
- Represent QbD Group at international conferences and industry associations, strengthening brand visibility and thought leadership.
- Report directly to Chief Commercial Officer and contribute to QbD’s strategic leadership team.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a Life Sciences or business-related field .
- 15+ years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry .
- Proven business development track record in regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, toxicology, and medical information services , with a strong international network in these domains.
- Demonstrated success in leading and scaling business development teams , driving revenue growth across multiple geographies.
- Deep understanding of the regulatory landscape and lifecycle of medicinal products .
- Exceptional strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills; comfortable interacting with C-level executives.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with an entrepreneurial and solution-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English; other European languages are an asset.
- Willingness to travel across Europe as needed.
