We are seeking an experienced provider to lead our hospice care medical services, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to state and federal regulations.

Overview

  • Oversee and assist in implementing the Plan of Care to meet patient goals and needs.
  • Assess and reevaluate patient medical needs regularly in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team (IDG), and supervise Hospice Physicians (HPs).
  • Manage related expenditures responsibly in accordance with program budgets.
  • Travel as necessary.

About You

  • Doctorate degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine from an accredited medical school.
  • Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine within the state.
  • Current and valid National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Current and unrestricted DEA Registration for Schedules 2 through 5 and any applicable state‑controlled substance prescribing registration.
  • Current Medicare Provider Enrollment, Chain, and Ownership System (PECOS) validation and Medicaid equivalent for the state of practice, if required.
  • Experience demonstrated by Hospice & Palliative Medicine board certification, Hospice Medical Director Certification Board certification, or substantial practice within the hospice setting.
  • Passion for helping patients with palliative care needs, with a reputation and positive image in the community as a hospice and palliative medicine authority.
  • Ability to work within an interdisciplinary setting.
  • Ability to travel 15-25%.
