Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Employment Specialist role located in Tampa, FL. As an Employment Specialist, you will work directly with individuals to provide career counseling, vocational assessment, and job placement services. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include assisting clients with creating resumes, preparing for interviews, and matching their skills with employment opportunities. Additionally, you will build relationships with local employers, provide training sessions to enhance participants' job-readiness skills, and monitor their progress to ensure long-term career success.
Qualifications
Experience in career counseling, vocational rehabilitation, or employment services
Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
Organizational and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
Proficiency in job coaching, resume development, and conducting career-readiness workshops
Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Human Services, or a related field preferred
Familiarity with vocational rehabilitation programs and local labor market trends is a plus
