Introduction Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital located within a leading pet health and wellness center in Los Angeles, California. They are currently hiring for a Hospital Medical Leader to oversee clinical operations and provide high-quality veterinary care. This leadership role offers an opportunity to guide a dedicated team while ensuring clinical excellence and patient wellbeing within a supportive, purpose-driven environment. Working Hours / Rota The hospital is open to discussing a range of schedules to accommodate work-life balance. Role Description and Responsibilities The Hospital Medical Leader will provide high-quality patient care through physical examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases, alongside preventive care tailored to each patient's needs. Responsibilities include performing both routine and complex surgical procedures such as spays, neuters, abdominal explanatories, and mass removals, as well as comprehensive dental work including examinations, radiographs, and extractions. This role also involves developing and overseeing medical protocols, mentoring and supporting associate veterinarians and paraprofessionals, and ensuring adherence to hospital standards and best practices. The Hospital Medical Leader will work closely with the Area Medical Director and hospital management team to uphold quality of care, drive clinical consistency, and foster a collaborative and positive team environment. This position is suited to experienced veterinarians with proven leadership ability. Practice Details The hospital is equipped with advanced diagnostic and surgical technology including ultrasound in every hospital, heated hydraulic surgery tables, and DDXR equipment. It offers a wide range of services encompassing wellness, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry.
