Personal Banker Position

Personal Bankers are enthusiastic/self-motivated individuals with proven success at delivering solutions that help our clients achieve financial freedom and peace of mind. Personal Bankers achieve this vision by building professional relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their financial needs, to deliver valuable products and services to meet those needs and to complete the account opening process accurately. Successful Personal Bankers are enthusiastic about delivering an excellent client experience; understanding and promoting bank products and services to individuals and companies; conducting accurate banking transactions in a fast-paced environment and working with a team to achieve individual and group goals. Responsibilities include providing "fast, easy, and personal" service consistent with Company client service standards, promoting consumer/small business banking products and services to clients and prospects, achieving specific sales goals on a daily, monthly, quarterly and annual basis, developing and maintaining relationships with business partners to maximize opportunities and to achieve sales standards, opening checking and savings accounts, processing client transactions, and recommending other bank products, including credit cards and loans. Personal Bankers also actively demonstrate digital expertise by using our digital platforms and educating clients and associates about our digital banking platforms. They work closely with clients and business partners to refer products and services to other business lines, educate and provide clients with other banking services, resolve client concerns and issues efficiently and effectively, conduct operational tasks related to protecting client and bank assets related to regulatory compliance, and maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations and bank policies and procedures related to the position. Compensation and benefits for the Personal Banker position include a minimum hourly rate of $16.50 per hour, eligibility for additional incentive compensation monthly based on achievement of established incentive goals, and a benefits package for full-time associates that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, company paid life insurance, short and long-term disability insurance, company paid vacation, paid leave and holidays. Skills required for the position include strong written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail and ability to complete work accurately, ability to organize work, strong sales skills, basic math skills including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as cash back and percentages, proficiency in basic office skills/equipment, including computer, email, ten-key calculator, copier, scanner/fax, typing, telephone, organization systems, and Microsoft Office suite of products, and ability to be NMLS licensed and registered. Education and experience required for the position include a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent, associate degree or higher preferred, previous banking experience preferred, 6 months in a client service experience role preferred, 6 months sales experience preferred, minimum 6 months cash handling experience preferred, and ability to be NMLS licensed and registered and obtain a state notary license. Physical requirements for the position include standing most of the workday, moving about the workspace to reach entrances/exits, restrooms, conference rooms, or other areas within the work environment, reaching may be required involving the ability to move arms in any direction, using office equipment such as a computer and telephone requiring the ability to manipulate a keyboard, mouse, and/or keypad, deciphering a computer screen or written documents, expressing or exchanging ideas; imparting information to clients, coworkers, or the public; or to convey detailed or important instructions, receiving and understanding detailed information shared through oral or written communication, and lifting and/or the exerting of up to 10 pounds of force.
