Responsible for supervising recreation activities assigned as part of the program at the site. The ability to exercise some independent judgment in working out details of assignments. Supervise and assist in evaluating counselors. Ability to solve problems as they arise and exercise supervision. Responsible for contact with parents. Summer Camp 2026 dates are to be determined, tentatively June - August 2026*. Days will be Monday - Friday, any time between 7 AM - 6 PM. *Please be aware this is a seasonal position, so consistent availability is key in staffing our summer camp. Any time off requests need to be shared as early as possible in the hiring process and are subject to approval based on staffing needs. Examples of Duties
Organizes and supervises games, sports, individual and group activities, arts and crafts, and special activities; Teaches fair play and sportsmanship. Administers first aid; facilitates inclusion; promotes safety. Determines acceptable level of programming based on available resources. Communicates with parents of summer camp participants. Supervise and assist in evaluating counselors. Typical Qualifications
College degree preferred. Teaching experience preferred. One year to five years' paid experience leading recreational activities or child care. Broward County teachers preferred. Background requirements including a fingerprint and drug screening will be shared during the onboarding process.
