Job Summary
The Physician provides medical care and treatment to patients, performs routine examinations, diagnoses, treatment, and provides immunizations according to guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care and answer patient calls.
- Maintain patient and business records, complete daily patient encounters.
- Observe patients for signs of abuse/neglect and report accordingly.
- Recognize emergencies and respond per policies.
- Participate in call schedule and patient meeting slots.
- Assist with compliance to safety, environmental, infection control, quality improvement and regulatory standards.
- Implement precautions and ensure patient safety during clinic visits.
- Report safety hazards or violations to clinic manager or designee.
- When applicable, ensure provider compliance and communicate concerns and solutions to administration.
Qualifications
- Completed residency training.
- Doctoral Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy.
Licenses & Certifications
- American Heart Association: Basic Life Support‑HCP, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
- Medical Physician Licensure through the Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners.
Skills & Abilities
- Medical clinical skills.
- Computer software skills.
- Working knowledge of ICD‑10 and CPT‑4.
