Job Summary

Involves assessing organizational and strategic issues and providing guidance through organizational development solutions such as facilitating assessments, strategic planning, and culture‑change and process‑oriented approaches to enhance institutional performance. Consults with leaders, departments, and committees to address root causes of organizational effectiveness issues using a systematic approach. Analyzes current organizational purpose, structure, relationships, policies, systems, and data. Recommends and facilitates improvements ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.

The salary range for this position is $113,800 - $242,800 (Annual Rate).

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
  • Advanced degree required (MD/DO, DNP/NP, PharmD, PA, or MHA/MPH in health informatics or administration).
  • 7-10 years of experience in clinical operations or quality improvement within large health systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of the organizational development and effectiveness field, theories, models to assess, design and implement customized, strategic organization interventions.
  • Possesses strong consulting, relationship building, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Superior communication, escalation, time‑management, collaboration, and change management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong leadership background in managing multidisciplinary teams.
