Position Highlights
- PRN night position with a required minimum of 3 shifts per month and 2 weekends per quarter.
- Hospital clinical experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- In collaboration with a physician, provide individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.
- Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview, and examination. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies.
- Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations, and patient care.
- Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers regarding preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Document delivery of health care and processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network policy.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.)
- Certified Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing preferred.
Education
- Master’s degree in Nursing required.
