Ornot is a rider-owned cycling-apparel brand. Since 2013 we’ve built the gear we want to wear—clean design, domestic production roots, and a commitment to sustainability. We’re a small crew of hard workers who prefer quick in-person chats to drawn-out meetings, and we test every product ourselves. After 11 years, we’re a profitable company with a team of eight full-time employees. If you’re not familiar with us, take a quick spin through our site while you’re here.

Who We AreOrnot is a rider-owned cycling-apparel brand.
Why Now?Our creative and product teams are strong, but the founder still handles many day-to-day business operations while also serving as creative director. We need a seasoned operator to own those daily functions so the founder can focus on product vision and strategic growth. You’ll report directly to the founder and become the hub that keeps everything moving, maintaining realistic timelines, sharp numbers, and meticulous details.
What You Will Own- Cross-Team Communication - Keep design, production, marketing, customer service, and showroom aligned; always know project status.
- Production & Product Development - Work with production leads to maintain realistic sample and factory calendars and manage trims, fabrics, and vendor timelines for our U.S. line.
- Process & Efficiency - Replace bottlenecks with simple workflows; decide when to automate, outsource, or handle tasks in-house; introduce AI tools when they add value.
- Business Systems & Backend - Oversee inventory flow, sales data, internal tools, and everyday HR logistics so the team runs smoothly.
- Financial Oversight - Track margin, cash flow, COGS, and CAC; bring clear, data-driven recommendations.
- Team Leadership & Accountability - Set clear deadlines, balance workloads, and uphold standards.
- Marketing & Launch Coordination - Ensure samples, assets, photos, inventory, and launch dates all line up, keeping launch calendars on track.
- Website Health - Own Shopify accuracy and best practices; delegate updates or handle them yourself, but confirm stock, links, and pricing stay correct.
- Network & Resources - Tap your freight, ads, development, or logistics contacts when extra muscle is needed.
- Have5+ years running operations for an apparel brand (DTC experience preferred).
- Understand landed cost, freight, greige, dye lots, markers, and budgeting.
- Live and breathe details—if you approve something, you double-check it later to be sure it still works.
- Guide people with clear direction rather than long meetings.
- Bring a network of trusted experts you can call when needed.
- Have experience being the “business brain” for a founder or creative leader.
- Ride bikes, or at least understand the culture and terrain.
- On-site in our Inner Richmond studio and showroom.
- We're a tight-knit, collaborative team.
- Tuesday ride—optional but encouraged; we design what we wear and wear what we design.
- We’re also into banana bread, and you should include the wordsbanana bread somewhere in your application.
- We use dead-stock or recycled fabrics and build gear to last (and to be repaired).
- A key leadership seat in a profitable, established brand with 11 years of growth.
- Freedom to shape systems, budgets, and operations as the business scales.
- Direct partnership with the founder to drive strategic growth.
- Potential to grow into a Brand GM role as we scale.
- A crew that cares about great work and having fun.
- We review applications on a rolling basis and will contact candidates who best fit what we’re looking for.
