Director, Product Management, Data Center Power Solutions
Qcells North America is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the development of an Energy‑Management‑as‑a‑Service solution that integrates OT, IT, AI to deliver measurable business outcomes for the most complex facilities and energy consumers.
Base Pay Range
$177,000 – $220,000 per year
Responsibilities
- Define and execute product vision and roadmap for next‑generation energy management platform that integrates edge and cloud technologies to optimize performance, sustainability, and compliance across data centers.
- Translate business goals and customer pain points into clear product strategies, prioritized backlogs, and measurable success metrics.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with software engineering, AI/ML, DevOps, and product teams to deliver an integrated platform comprised of edge devices and core services.
- Engage closely with hardware engineering and equipment vendors to ensure integration and management of gateways, sensors, and control devices.
- Develop strategic partnerships with key external OEMs and customers to align capabilities with emerging grid services requirements.
- Help shape and govern data and AI product strategy, including reinforcement learning, federated learning, predictive maintenance use cases, security, and interoperability.
- Influence organizational direction and potential to build and lead a product management team as the organization scales.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 7+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years leading complex, multi‑stakeholder software products in data center, energy, sustainability, or industrial automation domains.
- Proven track record delivering integrated hardware–software systems, ideally involving IoT, edge computing, or energy infrastructure.
- Strong fluency with cloud and edge architectures (Docker/Kubernetes, microservices) and API design.
- Demonstrated ability to define and execute product roadmaps, balancing short‑term delivery with long‑term platform scalability and compliance.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, capable of interfacing effectively with customers, engineering leaders, vendors, regulators, and executives.
- Travel may be required for up to 35%, depending on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent business training.
- Deep understanding of energy systems, data center operations, and power distribution, cooling, and environmental performance metrics.
- Familiarity with wholesale energy markets, demand response programs, and grid integration concepts.
- Experience in AI‑driven control systems or advanced analytics applications.
Location: San Francisco, Santa Clara, Irvine, CA (remote options available).
