We are seeking a Director of Pharmacy to join our team of passionate patient caregivers!
Spartanburg Rehabilitation Institute in Spartanburg, South Carolina provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient rehabilitative care with a personal touch. Qualifications
Required Skills:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with a B.S. or Pharm.D. Degree required.
- Current, valid, and active license as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of employment required.
- Two years’ related experience required.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
- Knowledge of and adherence to national pharmacist regulations and standards of practice
- Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
- Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.
- Demonstrates an understanding of treatment costs and financial support as they relate to quality and efficiency.
- Demonstrates and utilizes the appropriate leadership skills in delegating, organizing, and educating coworkers and staff.
- Effective organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
- Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Ability to interpret department policies and procedures to personnel, patients/family members, etc. as necessary.
- Ability to utilize concepts of age/developmental stages in interactions with patients and families
Responsibilities
The Director of Pharmacy is the primary individual responsible for the full operation and management of the Pharmacy Department. While occasional assistance with pharmacist duties may occur, the Director of Pharmacy is expected to spend the large majority of his or her time managing and directing the operations of the Pharmacy Department and supervising the work of personnel in the Pharmacy Department. In the course of managing and directing the operations of the Pharmacy Department, the Director of Pharmacy is expected to demonstrate compliance with the hospital’s mission and “Guiding Principles”.
