Director – Business Development (Manufacturing)
Location: Seattle, WA
The Director – Business Development is a key growth and transformation role within the Market Unit, responsible for defining and executing business development strategies to acquire target clients across the Manufacturing industry. This is a proactive demand generation and new-logo acquisition role , focused on building market momentum and originating qualified opportunities through consultative selling.
Key Responsibilities
- Create new business opportunities within the Manufacturing vertical, including new logo acquisition and selective growth of existing relationships.
- Generate demand for a broad portfolio of digital, IT, and transformation solutions across Manufacturing industry groups.
- Establish and expand CXO-level relationships to drive strategic discussions and pipeline creation.
- Work collaboratively with ecosystem partners, solution teams, and industry SMEs to proactively shape and influence large deals .
- Achieve TCV growth targets through proactive demand generation, deal origination, consultative selling, and thought leadership across the client buying journey.
Candidate Profile
- 12–15+ years of overall sales experience, with the majority in the Manufacturing vertical .
- Broad understanding of Manufacturing sub-verticals such as Industrial, Automotive, Chemicals & Process – deep expertise in at least one sub-vertical preferred.
- Strong local network with access to industry associations, alumni networks, and regional decision‑makers .
- Proven experience managing supplier selection processes , including RFI and RFP responses.
- Demonstrated ability to create CXO‑led, discussion‑driven opportunities .
- Experience working with a leading IT services or consulting organization , collaborating across global teams.
- Direct industry experience within Manufacturing organizations is desirable.
