Regional Medical Director, Primary Care - Little Rock (50+ clinics)|JO-2504-1208

Our firm has been retained to recruit a Primary Care physician leader for Arkansas Health Group (AHG). AHG, in partnership with the Baptist Health system, employs 700 physicians and advanced practice providers across 12 hospitals and >120 clinical practice groups. Based in the capital city of Little Rock, the Primary Care Chief/Medical Director will have oversight of ~50 Primary Care Clinics across the state of Arkansas and partner with the Population Health organization to extend value‑based care across the clinical network.

Highlights and Responsibilities

• No Direct Patient Care Required (up to 20% if preferred)
• Supervisory oversight of 50+ clinical primary care practices & approximately 200 providers
• Direct interaction and partnership with the Population Health Service Organization providing oversight and implementation of value‑based care contracts and delivery of care
• Oversee the development and maintenance of a quality improvement process for each primary care practice and all providers. Lead the effort to evaluate each clinic for opportunities and needs for growth to add providers
• Lead the effort to evaluate the potential need for, develop, and open new clinics in new locations
• Provider workforce planning and recruitment, as well as the planning and delivery of provider onboarding

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of leadership experience in an outpatient primary care setting; health plan/payor experience will also be considered
• Proficiency and successful experience implementing population health and value‑based care principles and/or contracts
• Must be commutable to Little Rock, AR
