About the Role:
As the Medical Director of Primary Care Services, you will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to lead clinical strategy, quality improvement initiatives, and clinician engagement. You’ll oversee a network of primary care providers while also maintaining a small clinical caseload (0.2 FTE). The role is ideal for a collaborative and strategic physician leader with a passion for high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical leadership across multiple primary care locations
Mentor and support teams of physicians and clinicians
Develop and implement initiatives that improve quality, access, and outcomes
Collaborate on organizational strategy and clinical innovation
Participate in vacation coverage and on-call rotation (as needed)
Qualifications:
Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics
Active Rhode Island MD/DO license (or ability to obtain)
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience and 3+ years of physician leadership
Skilled in using metrics and data to inform clinical decisions
Strong communication, team-building, and coaching skills
