This is a senior technical leadership role.

We are seeking a civil, structural, or architectural engineer with consulting experience in restoration, forensic engineering, and/or building enclosure to lead engineering operations and client delivery.

This is a client-facing, consulting role — not a desk-only operations position.

Who This Role Is For

  • Has led engineering teams in a consulting environment
  • Enjoys working directly with clients, projects, and people
  • Understands utilization, revenue, and delivery, not just design
  • Thrives in an employee-owned, entrepreneurial culture

Requirements (Non‑Negotiable)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture
  • 8+ years in engineering consulting, design, construction, or forensics
  • Direct experience in restoration & repair engineering, forensic engineering, and/or building enclosure
  • Client-facing consulting experience (this is not a back‑office role)
  • Experience leading teams and overseeing technical deliverables
  • Ability to read, review, and interpret drawings and reports

Preferred

  • PE or AIA license

This Role Is NOT For

  • Mechanical, electrical, chemical, geotechnical, or trades-based engineers
  • Construction-only project managers or general contractors
  • Operations executives without technical engineering credentials
  • Policy, government affairs, or non-technical leadership backgrounds

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor engineers, consultants, and project managers
  • Act as PM on select complex projects while maintaining utilization expectations
  • Oversee project delivery, schedules, quality, and consistency of work product
  • Partner with business development on proposals and technical input
  • Own department-level metrics: utilization, backlog, revenue, and margins
  • Maintain high-touch client relationships on complex consulting engagements
  • Contribute to strategic planning, staffing, and annual goals

Why Join

  • Employee-owned firm (ESOP)
  • Competitive compensation + 15% incentive bonus
  • Strong benefits and PTO
  • Emphasis on professional growth, learning, and leadership
  • Collaborative, values-driven culture
