What you bring to the table:
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or equivalent combination of education and experience required (MSN preferred).
- Nursing experience: 3+ years of floor nursing.
- Management experience: 5+ years in long‑term care. Preferable in a Director of Nursing (DON) or an Assisted Director of Nursing (ADON).
- Licensure: RN license in good standing in Illinois.
- Strong experience developing and implementing quality improvement programs.
- Ability to translate the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department into actionable items.
- Knowledgeable in state reporting and the ability to develop and implement plan of corrections.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise all nursing staff.
- Oversee department budgets.
- Maintain high standards of care for all residents.
- Act as a liaison between doctors, patients, and family members about resident’s plan of care.
- Collaborate on recruitment and training of new nursing staff.
- Ensure proper training for staff on department policies.
- Implement quality improvement programs to help deliver the highest possible levels of care in our community.
