Role Overview
As a Technical Accounting Director , you will provide expertise on complex accounting issues, ensure compliance with GAAP, and guide the organization through technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical accounting research and provide guidance on complex transactions.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee implementation of new accounting standards and policies.
- Partner with finance leadership on strategic accounting decisions.
- Prepare and review technical memos and documentation for auditors.
- Support M&A activities with purchase accounting and integration guidance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required.
- Extensive experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, ASC 606, ASC 842, and other relevant standards.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex accounting guidance.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
