Salary Estimate: $120,577.60 - $204,984.00 per year.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Resource Director is responsible for establishing and leading the supply expense agenda for the clinical resource management program for a hospital(s). The Director drives positive change through program definition and leading initiatives that support the organization’s clinical expense agenda. Responsibilities include reviewing and optimizing the group purchasing organization’s contract portfolio; developing and executing product standardization with the value analysis committees; building strategic alliances with hospital leadership, physicians, and supply chain; and executing the clinical supply expense plan.

What You Will Do in This Role

  • Develop and implement facility or division‑based strategies and processes to reduce supply expense per adjusted admission.
  • Identify and implement supply expense margin improvement with a primary focus on high‑cost departments such as surgical services, Cath lab, and special procedures.
  • Identify facility supply expense variances and develop action plans to mitigate increases; participate in monthly operating reports and supply expense planning.
  • Participate, develop content, and facilitate value analysis meetings such as facility‑based, division‑based, service line, or physician‑led meetings.
  • Utilize clinical product value analysis committees to review products and technology for clinical evidence and benefit; discuss financial considerations, including contract compliance, cost, and reimbursement; identify opportunities to standardize products and reduce waste while maintaining or increasing product quality and patient outcomes.
  • Build relationships and increase customer satisfaction with hospital leadership, chief medical officer, clinical directors, physicians, value analysis teams, and supply chain leadership.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with facility leadership and staff, physicians, and supply chain to identify, develop, and implement continuous quality improvement and cost containment processes for supplies, technology and labor practice.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in healthcare value analysis, clinical supply chain, or acute care hospital performance required.
  • Master’s degree highly preferred.
  • Three to five years of value analysis/clinical/hospital leadership experience preferred.
  • Credentials such as LPN/RN, Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP), Certified Value Analysis Health Professional (CVAHP), or similar preferred.
