SR DIRECTOR OF FOOD AND NUTRITION – CHARLOTTE, NC

Job Summary
The Sr. Director of Dining Services is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day foodservice operations, managing a team of employees, maintaining client relationships, ensuring profitability, and driving talent development. This position is located in Charlotte, NC and requires relocation to the area.
Seniority Level: Director. Employment Type: Full‑time.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the department in accordance with the approved budget, while providing the client with maximum value for the dollars spent.
- Ensure that the food offered to the client is of superior quality.
- Direct and conduct safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.
- Maintain excellent relationships with clients and other departments within the community.
- Promote the professional growth and development of the entire team.
- Foster strong inter‑departmental relations and integrate the dining service department with the facility plan of operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of five years of proven leadership expertise.
- Two to four years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control.
- Strong knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food‑cost controls, and presentation.
- Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract‑managed service experience is desirable.
- ServSafe® certification is a plus.
- Must be forward‑thinking, proactive, and serve as the face of the company.
