Position Overview:
As part of our planned growth, we are seeking an
energetic and entrepreneurial professional
to join as a
Portfolio Management & Operations Professional
in a highly collaborative, flat structure. You will collaborate closely with
internal and external stakeholders
to manage all activities related to
team workflow/ process management, portfolio management and field building work
— including all
processes, data, knowledge management and reporting
— while leveraging
existing or new technology platforms and tools to enhance efficiency . You will also
coordinate with advisors, legal, accounting, investment managers, donor advised fund sponsors and other key stakeholders
to ensure alignment with our strategy. You will be supported in any
formal or informal learning as part of your career growth .
Responsibilities:
Investment Team Workflow
Manage internal workflow
that empowers thoughtful and consistent investment processes.
Work closely with the team to
draft, update and manage key milestones and goals
related to its investment activities.
Manage
knowledge management systems
to organize data and insights generated by the team and its partners.
Support and hold the team accountable for engaging with relevant systems.
Support meetings and events and proactively prioritize follow up items that require attention.
Work closely with internal and external teams to
execute investments
via charitable and non-charitable entities in alignment with our Investment Policy Statement and guiding principles.
Ensure
compliance with legal requirements and operational policies . Continuously enhance
governance practices , maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding sensitive information as needed.
Actively
track deployed investments , some will involve multiple closes and tranches.
Consistently identifying learnings to inform alignment with guiding principles and continuous improvement.
Summarize annual deployment analysis in the
year-end learning memo .
Portfolio Management and Monitoring
Develop, improve and maintain
data collection processes, data integrity and reporting templates for investment forecasting and deployment .
Bring a strategic and learning lens to monitoring
impact outcomes
generated by investees including sense making of trends and key findings.
Provide investees with operational and capacity support to help grow
industry best-practices .
Salary and Benefits:
The starting salary range for this position, based in California, is between $150,000 – $200,000 USD annually, plus a discretionary bonus. The exact offer will be determined by a variety of factors, such as the candidate’s individual skills, qualifications, and experience relative to the requirements of the role. Qualifications
Proven
experience in investment portfolio management and/or operations.
Significant relevant professional experience, including
at least 5+ years of practical experience
as an asset manager or other intermediary.
MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
A passionate alignment of personal values with the purpose and mission of the firm.
Strong
learning orientation .
Adept with using, and training others on business tools including g-workspace sheets, slides, database/CRM tools and project management tools.
Further experience or willingness to learn, maintain and improve the utility of platforms such as Notion and Addepar.
Strong
analytical, problem-solving , and
project management skills , with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
Versatile and adaptable - willingness to adjust to changing circumstances, take on new roles or responsibilities and approach any task with a positive attitude.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
Ability to work both
independently and collaboratively
in a fast-paced environment.
A high degree of
honesty and integrity
with the ability to manage desired confidentiality of the family office, principles and associated initiatives.

in the office
