The Clayton County Conservation Board is accepting applications for their Executive Director position. This full-time opportunity is based out of the Osborne Conservation Center, Elkader, IA.
The Executive Director performs a wide variety of professional and administrative duties related to the management of parks, recreation, and wildlife areas. The Executive Director coordinates and administers conservation and recreation programs in the County at the discretion of the County Conservation Board, according to Iowa Code 350.4.6. This position requires knowledge and experience in electrical, mechanical, carpentry, construction, plumbing, animal care; and electronic devices including maintenance logs, security and phone systems.
Qualified candidates must be willing to work a flexible schedule, which includes weekend hours and evening assignments. High school diploma or GED, Class C license, and at least five years’ experience in a conservation related field are required.
