This is a rare opportunity to lead the region’s premier business organization at a pivotal moment in Broward County's transformational growth.

The Role The President & CEO serves as the chief executive, strategic leader, and public face of the Chamber—advancing business advocacy, strengthening member value, and shaping the long‑term economic future of Greater Fort Lauderdale. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the President & CEO leads a professional staff, oversees all Chamber operations, and provides strategic leadership, working closely with business and civic leaders to advance the Chamber’s Mission to develop and connect partners for economic growth, and its Vision to inspire prosperity within the business community.

The Opportunity Ahead

Champion pro‑business public policy and regional economic competitiveness at the local, state and national levels

Grow membership by strengthening member engagement, value, and retention

Lead initiatives to attract and retain businesses in the greater Fort Lauderdale communities to grow our local economy and raise the quality of life for our community

Expand the Chamber’s relationships with its strategic partners, government officials, and business and community leaders

Elevate the Chamber’s regional and national profile

Ensure operational excellence and long‑term financial sustainability

Key Responsibilities

Serve as chief executive and strategic leader of the organization

Partner with the Board on governance, vision, and strategic long‑range planning

Lead advocacy and government affairs initiatives

Oversee Chamber operations, programs, events, compliance, public relations, marketing and communications

Oversee the Chamber’s fiscal responsibility and long‑term financial sustainability

Act as the Chamber’s principal spokesperson and ambassador

Build and lead a high‑performing professional staff

Desired Qualifications

Proven executive leadership experience in a chamber, association, nonprofit, or comparable organization

Strong background in public policy, advocacy, and community relations

Demonstrated success in revenue generation, fundraising, event sponsorship and development of new sources of revenue Exceptional abilities to effectively communicate with government officials, media and the public

Proven ability to attract, develop and retain a high performing team within a supportive environment aligned with Chamber’s Mission and Vision

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Public Administration or related fields required; Master’s degree, CAE, CCE or IOM preferred

Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in a Chamber, non‑profit organization or the private sector
