Position Overview
As a key member of the Finance Operations team, you will be part of AgriBank's mission to support the people who feed the world. The Director Finance Operations provides strategic leadership for AgriBank’s cash management, product portfolio and operational support functions. This role shapes long‑term product direction ensures operational excellence, and partners across the bank to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of associations, correspondent banks, and their clients. The Director oversees product line life cycle including strategic planning, implementation, enhancements, maintenance, and support. This role will also develop an in‑depth knowledge of AgriBank and Farm Credit Cash Management and Operational components utilized to service Associations and Service Entities.
Job Functions* Product Strategy and Development
Lead the full lifecycle of cash management products, from concept and planning through launch, optimization, and retirement
Identify market trends, client needs, and competitive opportunities to drive continuous innovation and product evolution
Collaborate closely with associations and internal business partners to define the functionality and features of products, gather insights, and ensure solutions align with association needs
Research product options, determine, and recommend the best solution and customize the product to meet the needs of clients and AgriBank’s operating practices
Monitors numerous existing products to make sure they are operating effectively and efficiently
Develops appropriate business plans and marketing strategies that are delivered to associations inside and outside the District
Evaluates current products and tools to determine which enhancements need to be implemented to keep the products updated and current
Oversee the identification, analysis, and resolution of product issues, ensuring root‑cause findings are documented, addressed, and translated into sustainable improvements that strengthen product performance and reliability
Project Management
Provide executive oversight for complex, cross‑functional projects that support cash management, product innovation and operational improvements
Guide project planning, resource allocation, timelines, and deliverables to ensure results are achieved on schedule and within scope
Maintain strong alignment with technology, operations, and business partners throughout project execution
Build and maintain high‑value relationships with third‑party vendors that support cash management products and services
Business Continuity and Vendor Management
Ensures all cash management operations and products comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry’s best practices
Creates and implements the Finance Operations Business Continuity Plan to maintain business as usual in case of an emergency or disaster
Ensure operational resilience through proactive planning, risk mitigation, and strong recovery strategies
Identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies to senior leadership
Builds and maintains strong vendor relationships to ensure the products and processes AgriBank purchases are operating effectively and are kept current to meet the needs of AgriBank, correspondent banks, associations and their clients
Evaluate vendor solutions and future capabilities to support ongoing product and operation needs
Leadership and Collaboration
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and updates on product performance, risks, and strategic opportunities
Lead, mentor, and develop team members to foster strong performance, accountability, and professional growth
Promote effective communication and collaboration across teams, associations, and external partners

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or a related field
10 years related experience
5 years of supervisory experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
Knowledge
Advanced knowledge of financial institution operations
Advanced knowledge of cash management products and services
Advanced knowledge of cash management payment processes and procedures (e.g. RDC, credit lines, ACH, credit cards, etc.)
Advanced knowledge of treasury/finance operations
Advanced knowledge of the Farm Credit System
Advanced knowledge of federal regulations and Farm Credit Administration regulations
Intermediate knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
Skills
Intermediate proficiency in office software Microsoft Office Suite
Intermediate proficiency in data query tools
Intermediate proficiency in cash management/payment/product systems
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

The typical base range for this role is between $152,000 - $243,000. Compensation may vary based on individual job‑related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
