Senior Asset and Energy Management Analyst
Job Summary:
This is a senior individual contributor role sitting inside Phoenix Energy Technologies post‑sales operations organization. The position is responsible for leveraging advanced analytics, asset health data, and industry best practices to help customers drive energy efficiency, reduce operational costs, and extend asset lifespans. The analyst will collaborate with cross‑functional teams—including operations, engineering, and finance—to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision‑making for both presales and customer delivery.
Energy Strategy & Analytics
Conducting energy audits, site assessments, and building inspections to identify conservation opportunities.
Analyzing utility bills, interval data, and equipment telemetry to guide energy strategy.
Developing measurement and verification (M&V) frameworks and financial models to quantify savings.
Supporting the creation and execution of energy conservation measures (ECMs) and demand management strategies.
Asset Management
Understanding equipment lifecycles, performance, and replacement value to optimize HVACR assets using data‑driven methodologies.
Analyzing asset health, performance, and service history to inform maintenance, repair, and replacement strategies.
Integrating time‑series operational data, fault diagnostics, and weather impacts into asset performance models.
Incentives & Rebates
Researching and recommending utility incentive programs.
Aligning strategies to maximize financial benefit and support program design.
Required Skills & Abilities
Assess large customer portfolios to identify energy savings opportunities.
Design energy strategies, ECMs, and execution plans aligned to comfort, safety, and operational constraints.
Develop pro forma, M&V frameworks, and financial models for presales and delivery.
Support presales as a technical SME, building credibility with senior customer stakeholders.
Analyze customer billing, interval data, and platform telemetry to guide strategy.
Translate insights into product requirements, service offerings, and roadmap input.
Strengthen Phoenix's asset management capability, equipment lifecycle, reporting, and replacement planning.
Evaluate and operationalize rebates, incentives, and utility programs across geographies.
Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to tactical and strategic account teams, and customers, translating complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Energy Management, Facilities Management or a related field.
7–10+ years in energy management, building systems, HVAC, controls, or facilities engineering.
Proven expertise in managing HVACR assets across diverse commercial environments by leveraging advanced data integration platforms and IoT‑enabled solutions to optimize the full lifecycle of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Experience creating ECMs, energy models, M&V frameworks, and financial analyses.
Familiarity with Energy Star, ASHRAE standards, utility rate structures, and regional incentive programs.
Ability to simplify complex engineering topics for both novice and expert audiences.
Strong cross‑functional skills, product input, presales support, program design, stakeholder management.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shaping new processes and capabilities.
High EQ, strong communication, and a consultative style.
Experience with enterprise multi‑site portfolios (retail, grocery, healthcare) is a plus.
Exposure to incentives, rebates, or utility‑funded programs is a plus.
BAS/BMS/controls understanding is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Salary $125,000
